Ms. Gordon has had numerous one-person shows, including a three month exhibition in the lobby of the Empire State Building; the Gallery of the Greenwich Arts Council; Fairfield University; the Gertrude White Gallery at the Greenwich YWCA; Arcadia Coffee Company; the Cos Cob Library; Harrison, NY Library, and in Lenox, MA.  Her work has been featured at the Flinn Gallery, Greenwich Library; the Promenade Gallery in the Bushnell, Hartford, CT; and at The Bartlett Arboretum in Stamford, CT.  Her work is collected by both corporate and private collections in the United States, Europe, and Japan.


Ilse Gordon is a member of the National League of American Pen Women, Inc. an organization of writers, composers and artists, as well as a member of the Rowayton Artist’s Association, The Greenwich Art Society and The Center for Contemporary Printmaking.


Ms. Gordon resides in Cos Cob, CT and has documented the local landscape including public parks and private gardens.  She is available to paint works on commission.



A graduate of Sarah Lawrence College, Ilse Gordon continued her studies at New York’s Art Students’ League and The National Academy where she received a Merit Scholarship. She has received many awards, including The Award for Excellence in Painting from the Stamford Museum, The Grumacher Silver Medal from The Greenwich Art Society and The Dianne Bernhard Award for Pastels from the Art Society of Old Greenwich.
